The Barbershop (Styles Are Endless!!) for Men

March 3, 2010

This is one of the many different hairstyles that you can get. this is the famous rapper Chris Bridges a.k.a. Ludachris. he has the style of getting designs in his facial hair. in order to get one of these designs you must have a long length of sideburns and of course facial hair.

This is where it all happens, The Barber Chair!! you sit in this comfortable chair for however long your haircut takes. there are different types of barber chairs that barbers use depending on the shop you are at.

African Americans and Caucasians have different textures of hair. for instance, my hair is kinda rough and thick, therefore, a Caucasian males hair is more smooth and thin. If i wanted to grow my hair out it would take a while and it would grow out into an Afro. If a Caucasian male was to grow his hair out it would not take as long and it would not grow out into an Afro but long and straight.

In the 1970’s afros were the most popular hairstyles for african Americans.

The Afro was not just a mans hairstyle, but it was also for woman. Many African American woman wore the Afro just as much as men.

When i was young i had no control of my haircuts and hair styles. My oldest brother would always get the coolest hair cuts. My father and mother would always make me and my little brother get the most ugliest haircuts. I remember when we got the chilli bowls, bald fades, and when my mom used to cut our hair Patches. This is an example of a bald fade(one of my worst fears of haircuts when i got in the barber chair.)
As i got older i began to have a taste for designer haircuts. When i was in high school i got my first designer haircut my freshman year of high school. It was a Double Lining style of hair. It seemed like every since I got this haircut many of the different guys at my school started to get this cut…I guess you can say that i started a trend!!

Nevertheless i was hooked after i got this designer haircut. i just searched and searched for different types of designer haircuts, and i came up with the Mohawk. Before i got this Mohawk i thought i was going to get laughed at because it was an exotic hairstyle, i got this haircut my junior year of high school. The price was like 2 times more but i did pay the price and i received what i paid for. it was one of the best haircuts that i got in my life!!

When i graduated from high school i began to grow my hair so i could get dreadlocks and braids. i began to grow my hair on June 4, 2008, which was the day that i graduated from high school. i grew my hair out for a year and two months.<del

These are some of the styles that i had when my hair was long!!
